A recent Citizens Financial Group/Mastercard study found 55 percent of small business owners believe better management of employee expenses would reduce costs and benefit their business, while 40 percent said more control over employee spending would give them a better peace of mind.
The study showed 36 percent of small business owners use a cash reimbursement system to enable their employees to pay for day-to-day business expenses, while 32 percent use a company credit or debit card, 29 percent have petty cash funds available, and 21 percent use their own personal credit card.

Once upon a time he was the eponymous chief executive of a highly successful downmarket chain of jewellers.
His place in the history books however came from a highly amusing, honest and self-deprecating speech he gave at the Institute of Directors in 1991, in which he sought to explain the success of the Ratners empire.
We also do cut-glass sherry decanters complete with six glasses on a silver-plated tray all for 4.95. People say how can you sell this for such a low price? I say, because it is total crap.
He went on: We even sell a pair of gold earrings for under 1, which is cheaper than a prawn sandwich from Marks Spencer.
