The Norwegian Government says it will continue funding poverty eradication projects in Kenya as long as implementing agencies display transparency and accountability in using the funds.
Norwegian ambassador to Kenya Elisabeth Jacobsen said her country’s funding for health, water, education and other social sectors are tied to economic and political reform.
“Kenya has a potential to prosper economically and I encourage non-state actors involved in anti-corruption initiatives to intensify their effort so that the youth get opportunities to pursue their dreams in a corruption-free society,” she said before flagging off a mobile hearing clinic truck in Nairobi last week.
Deaf Aid, an organisation that gets backing from Norway to support deaf children in the country, donated the truck.
Deaf Aid country director Jean Claude Adzalla said the mobile hearing van and the awareness programme would cost Sh8 million.

The school had some advice for students attending the fair.
“I tell students a lot that you should come prepared with a list of employers that you know you want to speak to,” said Kent McAnalley, Director of Career Services at Washburn.
The necessity of car keeps increasing from time to time. There are several reasons that make people feel that they need to own a car. Long distant between their home and their workplace is the most usual reason why people buy a car as their primary vehicle. Of course it is not effective and economic if we have to use taxi everyday from Monday to Friday, remembering that the price of gas keeps increasing and the fare of taxi getting more expensive too. That’s why most people think that car is the right solution to press their expenses.
